The bookmakers favored the Knights 4-1 against the Colonials. This made their quarterback a alluring target for Scarecrow's game fixing scheme.
But because Batman was on his tail, Scarecrow changed his method. He put his fear toxin in Nole's helmet, while sending an actual telegram to Nole to lure Batman away. But Robin caught on to him and made sure the toxin didn't work. Not troubled by the toxin, Nole played a good game, and scored at least two touchdowns.
