This was the last episode animated by Akom Production, Co. It is said that the quality of the episode's animation caused producer Bruce Timm to make the decision; as evidenced in the Jokermobile scene, where a placard which is supposed to say "WIN THE ORIGINAL JOKERMOBILE" says, "WAN THE CIRIN GNAL JOKERNOCILE". This may be due to the unfamiliarity with English script of the Japanese animators, but another constant mistake was the dark circles around Joker's eyes; which disappear several times throughout the episode.

The one line of dialogue for the characters of Scarecrow and The Mad Hatter was performed by unknown actors, who weren't credited in the episode.
