Kent Butterworth is an animation director. He directed the Batman: The Animated Series episode Christmas with the Joker; afterwards he quit. He also directed some episodes of The Simpsons TV Series. He is also best known for being the creator of "The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" and also for working as a timing director and clean-up artist on "An American Tail", "All Dogs Go to Heaven", "FernGully 2: The Magical Rescue", "The Ren and Stimpy Show" and "Rugrats".
